COVID-19 and travelling to Japan

What test do I need to travel to Japan?

For this you need a PCR test. The test can’t be older than 72 hours before departure.

How do you take the tests?

We use a nasopharyngeal or saliva test for travellers to Japan. This is required by the local authorities. 

When will I receive the results?

The same day, around 10:00 PM.

Can I make an appointment by phone?

No, that is not possible, use our agenda for this. We need personal information to complete the certificate.

What days and times can I contact you?

Monday to Saturday between 09:00 and 12:00.

Can I schedule an appointment for more people?

Yes, but you need to schedule this separately for each person. We need data from each passport to complete the individual certificates.

COVID-19 measures Japan

For Japan, a COVID-19 PCR test is required. The statement that is not older than 72 hours to enter the country and avoid quarantine.

The situation changes every day. An up-to-date overview with all the requirements that a country sets for the corona tests can be found on the page of the International Air Transport Association (IATA). This organization maintains an overview of all countries.

COVID-19 PCR test for travelers

Several countries require a negative COVID-19 PCR test to enter the country. Coronalab provides travellers with COVID-19 PCR testing and non-COVID certificates. This gives you the results the same day (around 10pm).

Test collection by certified doctors and nureses

Our doctors and nurses takes some mucus through a throat swab and/or a nasopharyngeal swab. Our RIVM (Dutch CDC) approved laboratory analyses your material. The doctor checks the PCR results and makes a non-covid PCR certificate confirming your COVID-19 PCR status. This certificate will be sent via secured e-mail. 

Important: stay home if you have symptoms or if you have had symptoms in the past 2 weeks.

Need a quick result? You can come to us in the morning between 9-12 am and have the result with the COVID-19 PCR certificate on the same day.

Costs

The costs for a PCR test including our COVID-19 PCR certificate are Eur 149.95 per person. This amount can be paid by card. Children until 17 years of age get a 25% discount on the PCR test.

How does the testing work?

You can make an appointment for a test with us in Amsterdam via our online agenda tested at our clinic in the morning between 9-12 am and your results are send by email around 10pm. If you have questions please send an email to travel@coronalab.eu.
