See the overview below for more information about the corona measures in your (holiday) country of destination.
Please note: the situation changes every day. There may be deviations and you are responsible yourself to check the entry restrictions for the destination country with the local authorities and the tour company. This also applies to the test method that is required.

What is a corona test?
We use a corona test to determine whether you are currently carrying the coronavirus. In countries with an entry restriction, this is necessary to avoid mandatory quarantine. There are different ways of testing. For travel, the PCR test is required. On the basis of this test, we determine whether the virus is in the pharynx or nasal cavity.
Before you can travel, you must be able to submit a negative PCR test with a medical certificate. In some cases you have to send these in advance.
Coronalab (Microbe&Lab) has an ISO certified laboratory at the Science Park in Amsterdam. Our laboratory is approved by the RIVM for COVID-19 PCR testing.

We take the test with a throat and nose swab. This is in accordance with the RIVM guideline. We don’t do a gargle test. For some travelers, we do custom testing methods if requested by the country and local authorities.
When will I get the result?
If you are tested in the morning before 11.30 am you will receive the results at Coronalab around 10 pm on the same day. It is therefore possible that the result will be available before 10 p.m., but on busy days it can also be a little later.
At the other locations you will also receive the results the same day if you are tested in the morning. Times may differ per location due to logistics, so check this carefully.
If you are tested in the afternoon, you will receive the results the next day around 10 p.m.

How long is the result valid?
This differs per country.
Internationally, we see that the COVID-19 PCR test with the statement is often valid for up to 7 days. Countries have different requirements regarding the validity of a PCR test. Please check the specific requirement for your destination at all times. This prevents you from arriving with an expired statement.
Is your PCR certificate valid everywhere?
You are often asked for the PCR certificate from an approved lab. We have been approved by the RIVM for the COVID-19 PCR tests and are allowed to perform these tests.
Additional requirements may be imposed. For example, China has made a selection of test locations. And some countries require different test method. The traveler is responsible for checking whether the test method or other health declaration is required for the country of destination.
